This policy explains how Youth Impact Camp (“YIC”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores and protects the personal information you share with us when you visit this website, apply to the camp or take part in YIC 2027 in Ploiești, Romania (4–7 February 2027).
When you apply or contact us, we may collect your name, gender, date of birth and age, nationality, current location, email address, phone and WhatsApp numbers, LinkedIn profile, education and organisation details, how you heard about YIC, your headshot photo and anything you write in your application.
We will not use your information for any other purpose without telling you first.
We use appropriate technical, physical and administrative measures to protect the confidentiality, integrity and security of your personal information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We only share it where needed to run the camp, for example with accommodation and venue partners, payment processors, or embassies and consulates when you ask for a visa invitation letter, or where the law requires us to.
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires.
You can ask to access, update, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us.
Photos and videos are taken during the camp and may be used to promote YIC. Your application headshot may be used in official participant announcements. See our Terms & Conditions for details.
When you pay an application or package fee, the financial details needed to process the payment are handled by secure third-party payment processors over encrypted connections. We use payment information only to process your payment and never sell or share it. You are responsible for keeping any account login details confidential.
Our website and service providers may automatically collect technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, approximate location, referring pages and pages visited. We use session and persistent cookies, and similar tools such as web beacons in emails, to understand how the site and our communications are used. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
YIC is open to participants aged 16–45. If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian should review this policy and agree to your application. This website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
This website may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please read their policies.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
